The conference will gather hundreds of programme makers from around the world, for four full days of screenings and discussions devoted to storytelling in the public interest. INPUT is open to all Public Service Broadcasters around the world, as well as production companies or individuals producing programmes for broadcast on public service channels.
INPUT is looking for recent public service television and online productions, that are provocative, courageous or break new grounds.
More than 100 years ago the first silent movie was shot in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Today the full-service media house Studio Babelsberg is one of Europe’s leading service providers for major motion pictures, independent films and tv. The famous Filmstudios Babelsberg have been creative hub to international film production for over a hundred years - from Metropolis to Inglorious Basterds. The 1000-year-old city of Potsdam was part of the GDR until 1989 and is connected to the neighbouring city of Berlin by the famous ‘Bridge of Spies’.
You always need a Film Business Plan to get funding from investors.
Should a production be selected for screening at INPUT, the submitters will be asked to upload a screening copy of the selected production (with English subtitles or an English language version). Information about the technical requirements and server address will be communicated directly.
All productions screened at INPUT have to be accompanied by a key person involved with the programme like the director, author, commissioning editor or producer.
