We supports the production of powerful documentaries that address contemporary social issues.
We invest in 10-15 projects annually through our general and development funds, reviewing submissions year-round on a rolling basis. If you're working on a feature-length or episodic documentary and seeking funding, we invite you to submit.
We are interested in projects that:
- Tell strong, cinematic stories
- Explore urgent contemporary issues
- Have a clear point of view and artistic vision
Development Fund Submissions
The Development Fund is aimed at early-stage projects. Filmmakers can apply for funding ranging from $30,000 to $100,000 for various purposes, including:
- Development shoots
- Cutting a trailer or reel
- Archival research
- Casting characters
Feature and Episodic Documentaries Worldwide
Our Development Fund is for projects that are early on in the filmmaking process. You should apply if you have started developing a documentary feature or series, and you are looking for seed funding for pre-production/early production.
You should apply to our General Fund if your project is in production or post-production. You must have footage available to share in order to apply.
