Every year, the Foundation awards grants to filmmakers to assist in the production of documentary projects. These grants include a main grant of 10,000 Canadian dollars and several smaller grants of 5,000 Canadian dollars each.
The program targets young filmmakers born and living in The Global South (Africa, Asia, or Latin America) who aim to direct a film in their language of choice, aligning with the Foundation's objectives.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must be young filmmakers born and residing in The Global South, specifically in Africa, Asia, or Latin America. The documentary project can be in any language but must respect the aims of the Foundation.

Benefits
The grants provide financial support to help filmmakers produce their documentary projects. The main grant of 10,000 Canadian dollars is divided into two parts:
- Initial payment of 6,000 CAD upon project selection.
- Final payment of 4,000 CAD upon completion and submission of the documentary.
Additionally, the smaller grants of 5,000 CAD offer further assistance to filmmakers.
